On April 2, 2016, the Lee County Sheriff's Office responded to the 4000 block of 30th St SW in Lehigh Acres in reference to reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies located a deceased male inside a vehicle. The male was identified as Leisle Izquierdo, a Hispanic male with a date of birth of December 22, 1985. Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit assumed the investigation. The death was determined to be a homicide. The investigation continues.

On 04/19/2000, the Collier County Sheriff's Office responded to the area of 4750 Collier Boulevard (CR591), Naples in reference to skeletal remains found. A retired doctor was hunting for snakes north on the power line road that runs off the main entrance to Florida Sports Park. The skeletal remains were discovered in a wooded area, approximately 50 feet west of the road. The skeleton was identified through dental records as 70-year-old Charles Cantrell Wright.

On June 15, 2012, the Fort Myers Police Department responded to the area of Veronica Shoemaker and Colonial Boulevard in Fort Myers in reference to a shooting. The victim was driving a dark colored Ford Taurus and was stopped at the intersection when a white Nissan SUV pulled up behind him. Two black male adults shot multiple times into the victim’s vehicle killing him. The victim was later identified as Deshon Lanell Jenkins, a black male with a date of birth of December 9, 1988.

On October 19, 2006, the Collier County Sheriff's Office deputies were dispatched to the canal at the west end of Lancewood Way. The body of a female was found wrapped in a blanket in the canal. The victim was identified through fingerprints as Elizabeth Carolina Leyba, a.k.a. Angela Maria Cardenas. Her Florida driver license listed an address in Miami, Florida. Detectives determined she moved from there several years ago.

Officers located a black male subject, later identified as Pierre Jacques Dervil, DOB 04/12/1979, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds in the parking lot. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The death was determined to be a homicide. The investigation continues.
