The shooting death of Charles Ramsey still remains unsolved. On March 20, 2009, the Fort Myers Police Department responded to a call in reference to shots fired at the intersection of Midway Avenue and Franklin Street in Fort Myers. Officers found Ramsey suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the driver seat of a white Ford pickup truck. Ramsey died at the scene.
