New Deck Of Cold Case Playing Cards Going Into The Jails! April 20, 2026
Crime Stoppers is currently in the process of delivering a brand new deck of cold case playing cards, hot off the press, to our local jails! This deck is the fourth edition of cold case cards. which feature 52 unsolved cases that we need help solving. The decks are being brought to our local jails, for the use of inmates. The goal of the cards is to stir up conversation amongst inmates about these cases, in hopes of generating new tips to help solve them. It's worked in the past... the very first statewide deck that went out in 2007 led to a tip from an inmate that solved the James Foote homicide, a 2004 Fort Myers case that went cold. So we know it works... and we're hoping for the same success with this deck!
Tips Needed To Help Bring Home Missing Mom April 13, 2026
STATUS: OPEN
Its been just over nine years since anyone has seen Keri Cefarelli, but detectives with the Lee County Sheriff's Office are as dedicated as ever to learn what happened to Keri, and to bring her back home to her family. Keri was last seen on January 5, 2017 when she left her home in North Fort Myers. Several days after her disappearance, there were some verified sightings of Keri in the central Fort Myers area, along US 41, but since that time there have been no further reports. According to family members, it was unlike Keri to take off for an extended period, and as time has continued to pass, their concerns for her safety have only increased. Detectives are now considering Keri's case an extenuating missing persons case, and they believe that she may have met with foul play. Additionally, detectives believe there are two people in the North Fort Myers area who know what happened to Keri, and suspect they may have told others that information.
Keri is now 49 years old - she's 5'5", 120 pounds, with a tattoo of a flower on her right shoulder and a cat on her ankle. Anyone with information about the disappearance of Keri is asked to call Crime Stoppers 24/7 at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477), online at www.southwestfloridacrimestoppers.com or on the P3 Tips app. All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $3,000.
US Marshals On The Hunt For Joseph Mazzoni April 04, 2026
STATUS: OPEN
U.S. Marshals are on the hunt for Joseph Mazzoni, wanted on 28 counts of the possession and dissemination of child sexual abuse material, as well as a few other criminal charges.
Investigators in Chester, Pennsylvania served a search warrant on Mazzoni in early March, which turned up a disturbing collection containing file upon file of child pornography, some involving female toddlers as young as two years old. But by the time they were able to completely delve into Mazzoni’s computers and cell phones, he had already taken off.
Marshals strongly believe that Mazzoni is now staying in Southwest Florida, most likely the Naples area, in hopes of avoiding another return trip to jail.
This 46 year old felon has a disgusting history of possessing kiddie porn, with arrests in 2013 and 2015, coupled with additional charges of drugs, disorderly conduct and failing to register as a sex offender.
So if you’ve seen Mazzoni anywhere in our community, the Marshals are strongly encouraging you to call Crime Stoppers with your anonymous tip.

Parents & students all have a role to play February 05, 2025
One life is too many to lose, however in recent years, our community has dealt with multiple tragic losses of young lives at the hands of gun violence. In addition, it's becoming more prevalent than ever to see social media posts of young adults showing off guns that somehow they've managed to get their hands on.
In response to this alarming trend, Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers has produced a new PSA that addresses gun violence among teens, the horrific consequences of teens getting access to guns, and what we can all do to enact change. Starting today, the video will be distributed throughout our community via social media outreach campaigns, as well as to local school districts.
"It leaves a hole in our hearts every time we hear another case where a teen has been shot and killed," said Trish Routte, Crime Stoppers Manager. "We know that there is a wealth of information being shared amongst young people about who has guns, and where they're getting them, but that information isn't always getting to law enforcement until it's too late. With this PSA, we want to encourage teens and parents alike that Crime Stoppers is here as the only anonymous way to report the information. One tip could save a life."
The new Crime Stoppers PSA was produced with the assistance of Fort Myers-based Full Circle Productions and Dreamtime Entertainment, who have assisted Crime Stoppers with a previous video on how Crime Stoppers works in the schools.

Lehigh woman still not found since 2017 disappearance December 18, 2024
It's been more than seven years since the last time anyone saw Alice Bell Dorton. She seemingly disappeared without a trace, never to be seen or heard from again. With the Christmas holiday just over a week away, there is only one thing her daughter is asking for - answers.
"Birthdays tend to sting, but holidays hammer you. I miss my mother so very dearly," said Holly Stevenson, Alice's daughter. "I'd give anything to hear her laugh, listen to one of her drawn out voice messages or feel her gentle embrace."
Alice was last seen on July 1, 2017 when she left a home on Gifford Avenue in Lehigh Acres. In the days, weeks, and now years since her disappearance, no one has seen or heard from Alice. Detectives believe she may have met with foul play, however her body was never found. Alice was a transient, with no fixed address, however did have ties to a former boyfriend, who was a person of interest in her case. That man, however, passed away last year, and no charges were ever filed against him in relation to her disappearance. A tip was received in 2022 from individuals who believe they spotted who they thought was Alice in Collier County, on several different instances. That information, however, also didn't lead to Alice.
Despite the time that's passed, detectives are hopeful that someone will finally come forward to share what they know about what happened to Alice, regardless of the final outcome.
"It's hard not going mad trying to find her - getting caught up in any crumb of evidence left to explore as the shallow well of information dries," Stevenson said. "I have nightmares of possible outcomes, so overwhelming they make me physically ill. I just wish we had answers. Someone knows something."
If you have any information on the disappearance of Alice Dorton, Crime Stoppers is here 24/7 to take your anonymous tip at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477), online at www.southwestfloridacrimestoppers.com or on the P3 Tips app. We're offering a reward of up to $5,000 for any information that leads to her whereabouts, or an arrest related to her case.
Tips needed to heat up double homicide cold case December 03, 2024
STATUS: OPEN
Seven years ago, Eric Young and Sam Jones gathered with friends at a Lehigh Acres home to enjoy a night of catching up. But a good time quickly turned deadly, as gunfire erupted at the home, leaving both young men murdered.
Over the years, detectives with the Lee County Sheriff's Office have investigated every lead that's come in. But no charges have been filed in the case, and they're hoping some new information might generate new leads to finally provide answers and justice for the families they left behind. Young was 18 and Jones was 22 when they were killed at the Park Road home on December 15, 2017. Their murders have left indelible scars on both families, who are hoping that someone in the know will finally come forward.
"Me and my family will never get the chance to see him grow into a man, get married and have kids. I have a hole in my heart that will never be filled," said Bobbi Morrison, Eric Young's grandmother. "They don't know what they took away from me and my family when they killed my grandson. There has been a dark cloud hanging over our heads for seven years. We will never stop grieving until we get justice for Eric."
"The death of Eric has most definitely left a profound emptiness that rips through our heart every single day. I have never experienced such intense sorrow. It would mean the world to me and my family to see justice served for my son," said Carolyn Powell, Eric's mother.
Today, detectives revealed that a person of interest in the case was just released from Federal prison on November 1, 2024. While the name of that person is not being released, detectives are confident that there are many people in our community who know exactly who that person is, and hopefully they will step up and do the right thing to ensure that they are held accountable for their actions.
Anyone with information on the murders of Eric Jones and Sam Young are asked to call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477), online at www.southwestfloridacrimestoppers.com or on the P3 Tips app. All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $5,000.
